The Assam State Level Police Recruitment Board has issued two job announcements for the newly formed Assam Commando Battalions, including 2450 constable (AB) and 320 sub inspector vacancies. Candidates who are interested and qualified for these positions can apply online.
Details of Assam Commando Battalion Recruitment 2022:
1. Constable (AB):
No of vacancies: 2450 nos
Category-wise vacancies:
- Constable (AB) Male & Transgender: 2220 nos
- Constable (AB) Female: 180 nos
- Constable (AB) Nursing: 50 nos
Educational Qualification:
- HSLC or Equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.
- In addition for the posts of Constable (Nursing), Nursing Diploma is necessary.
Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 21 years as on 01-01-2021 (i.e. the candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2003 and on or after 01.01.2000).
2. Sub Inspector (AB):
No of vacancies: 320 nos
Category-wise vacancies:
- Male & Transgender: 314 posts
- Female: 06 posts
Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/ Institution affiliated to a recognized University.
Age Limit: Candidate should not be more than 24 years and less than 20 years of age as on 01-01-2021 (Candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2001 and on or after 01-01-1997).

Other Criteria of Assam Commando Battalion Recruitment:
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise upper age limit relaxation is as mentioned below
- SC/ST(H)/ST(P): 5 (five) years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 (three) years
- National and International sports person: 3 (three) years

Candidates must follow the following steps during submission of
online application:
- Register in the Portal using valid mobile number.
(Note: Candidates are advised to keep the mobile number unchanged until the
recruitment process is over) - After successful registration candidates will get an Assam Police Recruitment ID.
Candidates will have to apply for any posts advertised through SLPRB during the
year 2021-2022 by logging in with this ID. - Candidates will register their profile in the application portal once for all. However,
the candidature of those candidates will be cancelled who generate multiple
recruitment ID.

i) Passed certificate of HSLC or equivalent examination.
ii) Mark sheet of HSLC or equivalent examination.
